This week, Missouri legislators forced through two bills expand School Choice in Missouri, ignoring the groundswell of opposition from parents, educators, and attorneys representing homeschool and grassroots groups. Despite proponents’ claims otherwise, these two 750-million-dollar bills set the stage for future legislation and court decisions that will endanger the privacy and autonomy of home schools and private schools.
Do you see your legislator’s name below? A green button means they were a yes on this huge, expensive, intrusive bill that won them points with lobbyists at the expense of their districts.
Meanwhile, a barrage of other bills have been moving quickly through both bodies. Here is a run-down of the bills we are following and what the consequences are if they pass.
