CALL TO ACTION:
Tell Your MO Senator to Vote NO on HB 2413!
HB 2413, filed by Rep. Tara Peters (District 122, Rolla) amends Missouri statute section 210.030, the law that requires Missouri healthcare providers to offering testing and treatment for pregnant women. This bill was heard in the Senate Emerging Issues committee on Tuesday, April 29th.
Starting as a one-page bill that repealed a statute related to mammograms, HB 2413 was later amended in committee and the title changed to add language relating to, among other things, the mandatory testing of pregnant women for specific sexually transmitted diseases.
The Statute
It appears the original intent of this statute 210.030 was to encourage testing for syphilis early in a pregnancy. Testing for hepatitis B was later added. This bill adds hepatitis C and HIV to the test plus a second test at 28 weeks of pregnancy. Though the healthcare provider is compelled to get consent before testing, if the mother tests positive for any of these or a combination, the doctor “shall” treat, there’s no mention of consent by the woman. Current statute says if the mother tests positive for hepatitis B or the mother’s status is unknown (because she didn’t test?) the newborn infant “shall” receive a hepatitis B vaccine. There’s no provision for consent or religious or medical objections and exemptions.
Background
HIV is a harmless virus that most of us carry. Dr. Tony Fauci and others created the AIDs scare by claiming HIV was the cause. This was a lie. Those said to have AIDS were primarily gay men engaged in group sex, who abused antibiotics because of STDs, who abused drug – especially poppers to prolong erections. Starving people in Africa who were also suffering from vaccinations and testing by pharma were also said to have AIDS. Over 300,000 gay men who tested positive for HIV were killed by the experimental and highly toxic drug, AZT. Many of these men were perfectly healthy and not engaged in unsafe group sex. They just tested positive and believed they had AIDS because of the test. AZT was so toxic it could not be licensed even for chemotherapy. As with Remdezivir, Fauci repurposed it to treat AIDS.
Capitalizing on the AIDs scare, pharma developed the hepatitis vaccine for the gay population. But they didn’t want it. Sales were disappointing. So, they put it on the childhood vaccine schedule and the shot was given to newborns on the first day of life. Unless the mother has hepatitis B, which is very rare, babies have very little risk of getting this sexually transmitted disease. They have no immune system to handle the vaccine this young and the hepatitis B vaccines contain aluminum in an amount that is toxic to a grown man. The US ranks first among developed countries for infant deaths on the first day of life. The hepatitis B shot is a likely culprit.
If the mother tests positive for any of these or a combination, the doctor “shall” treat, there’s no mention of consent by the woman. Current statute says if the mother tests positive for hepatitis B or the mother’s status is unknown (because she didn’t test?) the newborn infant “shall” receive a hepatitis B vaccine. There’s no provision for consent or religious or medical objections and exemptions.

What did this statute accomplish — and who does it benefit?
Testing costs money, more tests lead to more treatment, more drugs and vaccines given. Lifelong injuries or death from treatments and more treatments to treat those injuries.
Doctors and patients can weigh the risks and benefits. Unfortunately, it can cause a lot of harm to mother and child by imposing unnecessary testing and treatment on them.
The statute should be repealed or at the very least scaled back to just syphilis. We urge legislators to move forward with a complete repeal as legislators, with the backing of pharmaceutical companies, will be tempted to keep adding to it.
There is still time to stop this. Call these Missouri Senators on the Senate Emerging Issues Committee today and tell them to vote NO on HB 2413!
